The Cocoon Air Cleaner won the US Environmental Protection Agency’s 2024 national challenge to design affordable air cleaners to remove indoor wildfire smoke. It beat over 120 competing designs.

The new design includes:

A removable fan for daily air circulation
A washable filter bag made of cotton quilting fabric
An attractive lamp to suspend the filter bag above the fan
A smart light bulb with remote color and brightness control – even a rotating disco ball!
